Once again el Teatro de la Laboral presents a programme based on the idea of theatre as a poetic act, far removed from absolute truths. The great majority of our proposals this year delve into creation and research around the scenic arts; groundbreaking proposals, obliquely positioned creations which cast a hybrid gaze on art.
In this, our third season, el Teatro de la Laboral presents an eclectic programme which will lead us on a tour of other theatricalities. We will be witness to creators who will shatter the concept of theatricality, bringing it closer into the range of the most pre-formative actions. Both the installations of the Laboral and these pre-formative theatrical actions will bring the mechanisms of traditional critics to a point of crisis.
At Teatro de la Laboral we believe in other realities, groundbreaking, hybrid, no-man’s-land realities, which borrow from a range of fields, bodies and theories, to show us our immediate reality from different planes.
We present an artistic programme designed for the individual and in the name of emotion. This has been a liberating project; there can be no historic reason to justify immobility in the face of the current change.
